AS21

Curated by Humans.
Designed to be played in order, not shuffled.

Dear readers, we must apologize for our extended absence. The last few months have been an extremely busy time for the Snobs what with two weddings, several new jobs and hectic end to 2021. Fear not, we have not forgotten you. We would like to announce the release of our latest playlist for your listening pleasure.

AS21 is quite the eclectic mix if we must say so. Snob favorite Damon Albarn makes yet another appearance in one of our playlists with Polaris off his recently released The Nearer the Fountain, More Pure the Stream Flows, which John recently reviewed. Methyl Ethel marks a comeback with a remixed version of Matters. Here’s to hoping we see some new material from the band sooner than later now that they’ve found a new home at Australian indie label Future Classic.

Do Nothing’s LeBron James is yet another outstanding song that has come out of the UK’s post punk resurgence. While the Nottingham group has only released a handful of songs over the last few years, we’re very excited for a potential full length album in the future.

The Snobs were definitely feeling the funk with contributions from John, El Mascarado and Otacon that include new songs from the likes of Durand Jones & The Indications, Silk Sonic and Kylie Minogue / Jessie Ware. Tim Maia makes yet another playlist appearance with Acenda o farol, a latter period hit from the peak disco era. While Cuzomano tried his best to bump it down to the B-list, Rick James’ Fool On The Street was a big hit amongst the rest of the Snobs.

As always dear readers, we encourage you to explore the playlist for yourselves.

With love, as ever, The Snobs
